Its really number 4 -
I noticed that the forums full size and and lose the side bars - i dunno if this is a good thing or not - you can always get back to the home page via the HOME link in the upper right corner...

Guess I better add my first "new" post
Is this forum visable to the public?
What do we need to do to get the verified section going?

Hey, guys! I'm now a member in good standing (no comments, please! )
Consider me the resident electrician, as well as all-around good guy.
Hey, can my "Newbie" designation be changed to "Resident Electrician", or whatever is deemed appropriate?
Looking forward to exchanging info and ideas.
Ciao!

Count me in too! Glad to be back here... Mostly, just really excited to have a haven for CI folks to share ideas, frustrations, etc. Let me know what you want for the "verified" section
Also, Brijaws - I have been admin over at hometheaterspot since it's inception almost. Let me know if you need help - or even ideas on how to manage this beast....
Here's to the new success of IP!

All set Larry.
I have not set up user groups yet, so right now this is public and an open forum.
Can you guys see the image gallery alright? Can some try uploading an image so i can test out the submission admin section?
Thanks for the support.

Ahhh... thanks guys, i feel much better.
Are we gonna have to go through the whole verified pros thing again? Or do you have a list from before that we'll just be bumped back to previous status?

PHSJason,
There should be an area under your profile that allows you to upload an image for your avatar.
Guess I need to dig around for a good one in my own computer!!

I posted some pictures, but it only lets each user have 1024 of space regardless of how many albums we create. Does this mean we only upload our favorite pictures?

I can set it to whatever i want. Most likely verified or regular members will have more space than the guy who comes by and dumps a ton of images than disapears.
Im still trying to also figure out the configuration of the gallery - I was going to require non-verified members to have to wait for the images to be approved before they are posted.
Still trying to figure it out thou...
So far so good i think, i feel we definitly have a decent foundation.

as for the pictures, I had the 1024 of space message too, But I also agree that you can't have everybody and anybody just come onto the site and start uploading pic's.. Once things are running smoothly and we start to see some traffic, a possible way to generate some public interest would be to have a week where we want to see and rate the DIY'ers home theatres. Give them a week or two to upload their pic's, and we can vote. There doesn't have to be any prizes, just being declared a winner by the pro's will give someone bragging rights.
Another thing that we should start doing is re hashing some old topics to get the forums moving,
