It's my first day! ha ha

Seriously, I do feel like a penny in a handfull of quarters around you guys.

I've got a home where mounting the 50" plasma on the marble fireplace would be a real faux paux (is that French?), so a flip down in front seems to be the way to go.

This is a second floor/flat roof w/2x12 plywood/2x4 joists. The contractor on the job says he can reinforce the ceiling so that seems to be covered.

The last flip down I saw was in a motorcoach a year ago. Do you have any suggestions on the better brands for the 50"? I've done both Chief and Auton lifts but not enough to know consistancy.

I just did some research for a project we were asked to bid... Only 2 that I found that fit the bill (unless I had one custom engineered) were from Auton and Inca.

If I recall, the Inca had a MSRP of about $8000 without any specials or extras.

I've used their lifts. If these are anything like them there great. The website doesn't jump out at you on how to navigate so use this link.

Thanks Robert. Is the client going to see an $8000 list on this stuff? I was thinking that $2K retail was the ballpark, but I guess I'm way off, huh?

I never priced one of the flip downs but their regular lifts are very reasonable. I had to replace a Inca pos with one and the Motivated was less. These are made to use in yachts so they should be solid. This is not a place to skimp. If you use one tell use what you think.
