Be aware of the function of the B-Band converter. D-Tv is apparently taking over some of the CATV/UHF bandwith on the coax to fit the additional LNB's signals. I believe they are placing these LNB's in the 500-900 MHz range and then the B-Band converter frequency shifts those LNB's up to the 1050+ range when the receiver calls for those channels mapped to that LNB.
What this looks like is that we won't be able to diplex OTA and D-Tv together.

From what DirecTV told me about future products I thought you could use an RS232->USB adapter on the new ones?
We all know how lovely those adapters are.
