I need the smallest, lowest heat image playback device. Don't care about network - can be just a memory card - but I need hdmi output. Any ideas? It's to display one image (a transparent screen effect) on a secondary input when the display is "off".

Everything seems to be full-featured, complicated and buggy....I'm looking for simple and bullet-proof....(without the $3K expense of a digital signage playback device...)

In my dreamworld it would be the size of a deck of cards and powered with less than 1AMP dc....

Or a decent controllable DVD player with a memory card slot? [But I need it to be completely controllable - no dumping the user into a menu...]

Or this...Much cheaper:

I don't know how the control is though. I've installed them with normal DVD control with Crestron, but didn't really mess with the card reader stuff.
