Larry:
Any code issues running these power supplies ( load side ) in walls or ceilings? Assuming no plenum conditions is there any problem running the 12v side in a wall or ceiling?

I know you were looking for Larry, but I don't think it would be up to code, check out this thread on RC, similar discussion. http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mboard/rc-custom/thread.cgi?keywords=4142&highlight=supply|power|volt|12

Many amplifiers will supply a higher voltage, more current (i.e. more power) than one of those bricks will.

I wouldn't hesitate to stick it inside the wall. Brick outside, tho'.

Not to mention +12V power supplies for IR, Keypads, Cameras and Line powered RF amplifiers etc. The only issue that I can think of is that technically the jacket of the power supply output probably doesn't have a CL rating to it.

You could house the brick in the rack and run an 18/2 with your video.
Most cases should not involve too much voltage drop.
