It would appear that Bob Gullo and the board could not come to a contract agreement with Richard Glikes.

Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) announced Wednesday that executive director Richard Glikes will leave the organization early next month.

According to an email to partners from board chairman Bob Gullo which spoke on behalf of the board of directors, the board and Glikes were unable to agree on a new contract, and therefore he will step down effective Sept. 7.

Gullo also said that the organization's upcoming CEDIA member meeting and cocktail party will be unaffected by Glikes' departure. Future plans will be shared at the upcoming fall meeting.

"We wish Richard the very best and appreciate his many years of service," Gullo wrote in the email.

"I think HTSA will be fine," Glikes told Dealerscope in an interview Wednesday. "It's a wonderful organization, with great dealers, and I think it will be great. I'm looking forward to a new phase in my life."

"I'm going to take a look around. I could work for a vendor, I could start a new buying group, or work for an existing buying group, I'm not really sure."
