Savant launches a multi-zone audio category with a 6 source, 8 zone audio unit and a matching 16 channel amp. An integrated iTunes digital media server and iPad/iPhone/iPodTouch control are included.

According to a CEPro article, Savant is also launching a speaker line called Savant Sound.

The line is reported to include four in-wall, four in-ceiling, and one in-wall sub to be made by Bay Audio.

They've had Multiroom audio for quite a while actually.. and the 3000 and 3100 have been around at least 4-5 months I think...

Indeed they have. And prior to the SmartAudio platform they had the protege. They've been doing multi-room audio for years.

The amp is fairly new. And the speakers are brand new. The line-level disty / processor end has been around for a while now.
