I spent my Sunday digging up a fractured buried satellite feed that winds around the customer's landscape from dish to house entry point.

I need to replace about 150 feet of cable x 4 runs, but this time I want to protect it a little better.

Is there a flexible conduit available that:

A. Can go direct burial
B. Is going to resist the occasion shovel smash?

what you want is available at the electrical supply store. Its called, generically, seal tite. Or non metalic flexible conduit. (4) RG6 would need 3/4" and a few shots of WD40. You would have to be a man on a mission to dig thru that stuff.

Thanks. I'll look for it tomorrow.

Presumably it's designed for direct burial?

It's basically an armored BX with a rubber coating.

Yes, it's direct burial

Yes, it would take a mighy shovel hit to hurt it.

You don't want the metal core seal tight, I beilieve that the non metallic sealtight is called K-flex. If you use the metal core, it can corrode and eat throught the caox jacket.

It's not called K-flex anymore. Just sealtight non metallic flexible conduit.

Not sure what its called, but I thought the Depot stores had this as well. It's in rolls, cut to lenght, and is a dark orange/brown color. Thats all i ever see them using on new construction anynmore from street to house, etc. Am I thinking of something else? It shouldnt be a whole lot different (building methods, etc) where you're at.
