Catalyst AV and AHA Distributing Put the Squeeze on Competition in the Carolinas!

AHA draws a line in the sand, taking neighboring distributors head-on with the launch of its 12,000 sq. ft. distribution and presentation center in Charlotte, equipped with the area’s largest assortment of premier CEDIA lines and staffed by regionally-known custom AV experts

Additional conveniences include state-of-the-art demo and training rooms, a warehouse club shopping environment, after-hours pick-up and next-day delivery to North and South Carolina. The doors open 7:30 AM August 10.

Burlington, MA – August 6, 2015 – Southeast Catalyst AV Distribution Network member AHA Distributing -- with locations in both Atlanta and Tampa -- today announced the opening of its third facility, this one located in Charlotte, North Carolina. To manage the facility, AHA has appointed Kim Brown as general manager, Zach Simpson and Mike Moreno as regional account managers and Johnny (JJ) Jackson as warehouse manager. Collectively the team brings 60 years of industry experience.

By way of setting-up shop in Charlotte (located at 3140 Yorkmont Road), AHA brings together more than 80 lines under one roof including industry-leaders Origin Acoustics, Denon, Ethereal, Key Digital, Just Add Power, Luxul, Marantz, Middle Atlantic and Screen Innovations along with Catalyst AV Network brands ClearView CCTV, Definitive Technology, IC Realtime, Ring, Nest, Vanco and Vivitek. AHA sister company, rep firm Aim High Audio Sales, will also be displaying product lines in the facility including Martin Logan, Seura, Draper and RTI.

“During the 5 years that AHA has been servicing the Carolinas, we’ve experienced growth that has doubled from year-to-year, so the demand was more than warranted for us to move in,” says AHA founder and CEO Chris Gilray. “Our facility offers after-hours pickup and its locale now makes it possible for us to reach North and South Carolina in a single day. This is huge for dealers’ just-in-time needs.”

“Having brick-and-mortar in Charlotte also greatly benefits those direct-to-manufacturer dealers that purchase through our rep firm Aim High Audio,” adds Gilray “As now they too have a destination to access these great lines and in-person support.”

Shopping Conveniences
AHA displays all products in a warehouse club environment where dealers can quickly browse, pick-up and purchase as well as easily interact with sales and support staff. “The layout and transactional process is all about having the dealer in mind -- understanding that time is money -- and that they need to get to their next job quickly,” says Gilray.

Product Presentations and Trainings
The new facility boasts a state-of-the-art presentation room equipped with interactive displays of today’s key technologies including networking, home control, 4K TV, Dolby Atmos and more. AHA will be hosting trainings on a wide variety of products. Gilray invites dealers to visit the company’s website www.ahadistributing.com for schedules.

AHA Distributing Charlotte is located at 3140 Yorkmont Road, Suite 500, Charlotte, NC 28208. Phone: 704.243.9082. The doors open 7:30 AM August 10.
