View Full Version : Anyone know of a good RS232 Combiner with buffer?

I have a situation where I have 4 sources sending 232 commands to a Lutron Homeworks processor and was wondering what solutions have been tried and stood the test of time.

I'm thinking a small 4 in - 1 out with buffered inputs so commands colliding with eachother won't be a problem.
I am only worried about sending commands, I am not worried about getting feedback for this job.

There are companies that make such devices, I seem to remember one named "Black Box"...?

A Google search for "RS-232 combiner" should get several hits.

I've also done this using Crestron processors, but if there isn't already one in the system, that solution may be overkill...
