Got our first activated decor lift in the building.

The bad news:

This was a initial order from this company. I got a really good feeling talking to them on the phone, and its a Canadian company (like ourselves).
When the lift came, it was obviously used. A bit of hardware was missing (couple nuts and bolts, no biggie), and the control module box was scratched up quite a bit. The holes where the base mounts in the cabinet had marks from washers where it had been mounted.

Now the good news:

This is one of (if not THE) best lift designs I've seen. It is completely simple. It has no side "tracks" like typical rack-and-pinion styles. This means you can use any width of TV, and the cabinet interior doesn't need to be the exact width of the rack assembly. There is a steel mounting plate with from bolt holes, and this is all you need to mount the lift in a cabinet. We haven't installed it yet, but I see no difficulties with wire management.
The motion is very smooth, and the assembly seems very sturdy.

There is no noticeable "shake" or jutter like some other lifts.

Best of all, there is virtually no noise. This thing is super quiet.

Heres there site: http://www.activateddecor.com/

And heres the lift I have:

Check out the larger lifts too, as they look pretty neat.

Not the cheapest lifts out there, but certainly very nice.

Fluid Drive is spot on,

we've used lifts from all of the mfg's, and when we recently used one of the Activated Decor units (which was spec'd out by the architect) i can't see any reason to use any other lift. It was extremely quiet and smooth, not detracting from any of the "magic" that we provide.
