Anyone know if there's an alternative set of discrete codes for JVC LCD TVs? I have a LT-23X475 that won't respond to the regulars discrete codes. This is the first time I've run into this with JVC, does anyone make a line of LCD TVs that all have discrete codes?

Zenith/LG.

Really? I have an LG RM-26LZ30 LCD and I didn't know the discretes were available. Do you know where, or even better, have you had any luck getting service codes for these LCDs? I would be greatly indebted!

Thanks,

Doug

So is LG my only choice? Do all their LCDs have RS232? How well does that work?

I read somewhere about Sampo (don't ask why), but they also have discrete on off and input selection plus rs232 control.
May want to see if anyone has actually used this brand.
One would have to think if Sony has anything in the size you need they are always good for having discretes.

Yes, the Zenith/LG LCD's have RS-232 capabilities.
