Figured that this would only be fair......

Best one I heard recently came from BB.

My client was in the local BB just looking around at the various rear projection sets. Was approached by the BB 'village idiot", who imparted this bit of wisdom on them.

1. "You're ALWAYS better off buying last years model, since it's a better deal".

2. "You should ALWAYS buy the service agreement. What do you do if the bulb goes out"?




1. But it has no HDMI?

2. Get a warranty replacement and put it in?

Most lamp warranties are only 90d. Just had to fight to get one replaced over that but still under 500 hrs. Extended lamp warranties can certainly be worth it - but the circuit shack sales have no clue that the warranty they sell does not cover consumables.

I can't let this slide without bringing up the old plasma wives tale regarding the importancy of extended warranties due to the exhagerrated life span of plasma televisions.

We're no longer recommending Brand X because their quality control is no longer as good as it used to be and we're having a lot of problems with them.

(Competitor Y was just setup with the line)
