I have a client that wants us to locate all the equipment in the basement and run it up to the 1st. fl. great room. No problem there. But he wants to have a DVD player located locally in the great room. How long can you run a Digital Coax signal from the DVD player to the processor? I know that we will need to run RG-6, and estimate the run to be about 60 to 80 ft.

We have a client with a 120ft run of rgb mini that we use one of the conductors for the dvd's coax output that is working great. Dunno about RG6, we usually just use a spare conductor on the mini since we are already pulling for component video.

We have a house where after the fact, they wanted digital audio from a PC to the main AV system. We used an extra rg6 in the multi-media cable from the PC to the panel, connected to another rg-6 from the panel to the stereo cabinet, then connected into the stereo. Total run @60 feet, with a wall plate at each end and a barrel in the middle for a total of 8 connections in line including from plates to equipment. No noticeable loss.
