A luxurious, compact 2.1 stereo wireless music system, Gatecrasher1 represents the company’s entry into the Smart Home Norwood, MA – June 20, 2018 – Atlantic Technology is announcing Gatecrasher 1, the first in a series of smart multi-room wireless speakers with streaming services and internet radio. This new product puts Atlantic Technology and its customers into the most important and fastest growing new audio category to emerge since the Smart Phone, Smart Speakers. Premium Audio Atlantic Technology is applying its legacy of award-winning sound to a premium 2.1 stereo table-top system that’s packed with an array of high-performance drivers including a stereo pair of ¾ inch aluminum dome tweeters mated with 2-inch cone bass-mid speakers. The internal sub-woofer system is composed of a 4-inch bass driver coupled to a down-firing 5-inch passive radiator. With 60 watts of class D power, this gives the system a wide frequency range with bass depth, punch and clarity Atlantic is known for. Gatecrasher1’s design, materials and construction is also a step-up over typical mainstream offerings. The wood cabinet is constructed of high-density MDF shaped to reduce internal standing waves and available in real-wood veneer gloss Makassar ebony as well as piano-black lacquer. The wrap-around metal speaker grille is acoustically transparent and the system sits solidly on four, 2-inch diameter isolation feet. Unlike many mono tabletop wireless systems sold, Gatecrasher is a compact 2.1 stereo system that produces excellent stereo in most rooms. For use in a larger room or with a TV, a “Wide” mode is available from the control panel to engage a sophisticated DSP that simulates the spatial imaging of wider-placed separate stereo speakers.

Seymour-Screen Excellence Introduces Industry’s First Color Temperature-Tunable Back-Lighting Kit for Film Screens The perfect complement to the ambient light-rejecting film screen and high-brightness projector in a darkened room setting, the kit can be calibrated to achieve a true 6,500K hue behind and around the film screen, regardless of the wall color. The subsequent improvement in contrast is aesthetically pleasing and helps reduce eye fatigue, making for an enhanced cinematic experience. Ames, Iowa – May 23, 2018 – Reference-grade film screen brand Seymour-Screen Excellence has brought to market the CEDIA channel’s first-ever tunable white bias lighting kit. The offering is unique in that it can be adjusted from 3,000K to 20,000K to achieve a true 6,500K Kelvin color temperature Properly-calibrated back-lighting (also known as hue) behind and around the film screen serves to improve contrast and reduce eye strain. This is especially useful when combining a high-brightness projector with an ambient light-rejecting (ALR) film screen in a darkened room setting. “Lighting kits have become popular among film screen and HDTV users, however much of the ones available on the market actually contaminate the video experience because they simply project primary or secondary colors onto the wall. For video purists like us, this looks so ridiculous. We jokingly refer to them as ‘dancing UFO lights,’” quips Seymour-Screen Excellence Managing Director Chris Seymour. “Understanding that the vast majority of homeowners aren’t painting their room walls a D65 color, we set out to design a solution that could compensate for their wall color and make high dynamic range (HDR) and high-brightness viewing less fatiguing. Now when the homeowner gets their projected image calibrated, their calibrator can find the bias light setting for a true 6,500K,” added Seymour.

Today’s advancements in surround technology are increasingly complex. The Cinema Designer is a vital tool that plays an important role in helping integrators to create winning entertainment rooms for their clients. This new association nicely complements the recent integration of native 9.1.6 Dolby Atmos processing across the StormAudio preamp/processor line. Free webinar trainings covering the entire Cinema Designer program are available for StormAudio dealers. Saint-Herblain, FRANCE – April 27, 2018 – StormAudio today announced that its full suite of immersive audio preamp / processors and amplifiers are now part of The Cinema Designer program, enabling StormAudio dealers enrolled in the program to design and present theater and media room layouts in an extremely professional yet easy to create manner. The Cinema Designer is a cloud-based design tool that pulls from a large database of participating CI manufacturers’ products to calculate and produce 3D CAD drawings, specifying the precise location of the loudspeakers, screen, seating, projector, crucial amplification and processor requirements, acoustic treatments, RT60 value, and more. The tool generates detailed documents including audio and video calibration reports, and true-to-room aesthetic renders reflecting the way the finished room will look. “The StormAudio audio processors and amplifiers can drive up 32-channel theaters and now we have integrated native 9.1.6 Dolby Atmos processing across the line. As audio system configurations become more complex to achieve such new heights in surround sound entertainment, a tool like The Cinema Designer is particularly useful for integrators,” says Sebastien Gailleton, StormAudio Product Marketing Director (International). “We are excited to be included as a manufacturer brand inside the software.”
