WiFi Water Sensors?

Any successful product? Must be wifi, no hub and do notifications. Integration into control system (TC) not required but would be a bonus. Small would be nice but reliability more important.

Customer will have Ra2 but not seeing any lutron water sensors.

Why would you want to over complicate such a simple device by putting WiFi between it and the controller? I personally prefer contact closure for water sensors because that is one notification you want to get even if the network is down.

Just some personal experience to share.
When I moved last year, I went from hardwired panel to a Ring with sensors just to see what they had in the market.
I'm incredibly impressed with how well the Ring works, especially the water sensors.
So far the alarm has caught a leaking pipe, HVAC pan clog with overflow and leaking washing machine tub.

The sensors are cheap, the monitoring is cheap and the whole thing works really really well for the $ spent.
If you want a great, cheap solution, RING does this very very well.

Springs, yes, they have security. This is a retro-fit, so no wires plus they dont like their security installation company. Why do you ask? The thought is hardwired? Not happening. Nor is involving the security company in any way.

I dont understand your question. Wifi between it and the controller? I dont want a hub as we dont want to deal with distance, communication, etc. I, too, would prefer hardwired! Of course we all would. Not happening, not possible. Are you saying there are no wifi devices or no way to do it without a controller?

Other suggestions then based on my needs?

No, I was saying I didn't understand why you wouldn't want to just wire the sensor directly to the controller because you didn't initially say that getting wire to the sensors wasn't a possibility.

You can do it with a PiZeroW, a $9 sensor and about a dozen lines of Python.

Since its been confirmed the customer will have zwave, Im looking at zwave options.

Wire a waterbug into a wireless security sensor and call it a day. DSC makes a Tri-zone wireless sensor (I'm sure all security systems have something similar) that has screw terminals for one of the zones. Connect that zone to your water detector and be done with it.
